Warsaw Elementary School Cross Country Club had an impressive weekend. Four local students competed in the Indiana Middle School Cross Country Championships, 3 k course, in Terra Haute: Jadon Flamm (6th grade), Lucy Purdy(5th grade), Kinsley Purdy(3rd grade)--Jefferson Elementary, and Magnus Granger(5th grade)--Eisenhower Elementary.
For the girl's race, Lucy Purdy ran a strong 14:15 for 70th place, and Kinsley Purdy, 93rd place, ran a time of 14:49.9–an impressive finish for one of the youngest on the field.
In the boy's races, Jadon Flamm placed 13th overall in a field of 206, with an outstanding time of 11:31.4–earning him 6th place for big school open JV, and the 21st fastest 6th grader for the State of Indiana. The final competition of the day saw Magnus Granger soaring to 63rd place in a field of over 225 for the open JV race, with a PR time of 12:33.
