This week’s Tiger Tuesday recognition goes to Mike Atchison, custodian at Edgewood Middle School, and it’s an extra special one! Mike was nominated by a group of students (Lydia Hagenbuch, Jeremiah Calhoun, Jasmin Ramos, and Brenna Overman) who came together to honor the impact he makes each day.

Every morning, Mike stands at the doors of Edgewood, greeting students with a smile and holding the door open for each one. At lunch, he continues spreading positivity by thanking students for cleaning up and simply being kind.

These four students not only submitted nominations, but also joined in a surprise celebration for Mr. Atchison. It was a sweet moment, and they were thrilled to be part of it!

Glad you asked! Every two weeks, Warsaw Community Schools unites in their Tiger Tuesday shirts and we take the time to surprise and celebrate an individual who unites others.

Recipients are honored with a small gift, a video highlight, and the joy of being recognized in front of their peers. These moments shine a spotlight on those who go above and beyond to bring people together, support others, and spread positive energy across our schools.
